UI/UX Design
Teach your agent to design good-looking, consistent interfaces from real design files, and to generate on-brand visual assets.
What we found works best
Use Figma's official MCP for real design context, plus Impeccable for design taste. Add UI UX Pro Max when you have no designer and need a style system. Add Higgsfield only when you need generated images or video.
Figma MCP gives the agent the actual components, variables and screenshots, so it stops guessing. Impeccable is the most-adopted design-quality skill in the sources we reviewed, and it keeps the output from looking generic. Higgsfield is powerful, but every generation spends paid credits, so it's opt-in and sits behind approval.
Options we compared
| Option | Cost / account | Can act? | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| ✅ Figma MCP (official) Real design context: frames, variables, Code Connect, screenshots | Remote MCP is available on Figma plans; the desktop server needs a Dev or Full seat (vendor docs; re-check) Figma account (OAuth) | read-mostly | vendor docs |
| ✅ Impeccable Design-quality rules that make frontend output look intentional | free none | none | pbakaus/impeccable Apache-2.0 · ★ 81k · pushed 2026-10-13 |
| UI UX Pro Max A style and palette system when you don't have a designer | free none | none | nextlevelbuilder/ui-ux-pro-max-skill MIT · ★ 136k · pushed 2026-10-12 |
| Higgsfield (MCP + skills) Image and video asset generation inside the agent | Requires a paid Higgsfield subscription; generations spend plan credits (vendor help center) Higgsfield account (OAuth, no API key) | SPENDS credits on every generation | higgsfield-ai/skills MIT · ★ 1.3k · pushed 2026-09-26 |
Steps
- Install Impeccable (the design rules) and confirm the agent can summarize them.
- Connect Figma MCP and complete OAuth; confirm
get_design_contextis listed. - Build one component from a real Figma frame, then compare the screenshot with the design.
- Add a visual check: Storybook stories or Playwright screenshots for each component.
- Optional: connect Higgsfield. Check the balance first; generate only with owner approval and a per-task credit cap.
Traps to avoid
- Letting the agent design without design tokens, so every page looks different
- Generating dozens of images to 'explore', which burns credits
- Using the desktop Figma server without the right seat
Safety
- Never send, post, publish or spend money or credits without the owner's OK.
- No paid generations (Higgsfield credits) without the owner's OK for that task and a stated credit cap.
- Don't upload client designs or brand assets to third-party generators without permission.
- Figma: read access only; the agent never edits shared files unless asked.
